It's been a year and a half since I launched Quill, a sweet little Android app for writing and publishing blog posts with Ghost. In that time, it has received very positive reviews on the Play Store and elsewhere, holding steady at 4.7 ⭐️. Looking beyond the numbers though, it has improved users' access to robust publishing tools in situations with poor or no Internet connection. Like in this case:
But a few months ago I realized, for the app to grow and reach more users, it would need support from Ghost in terms of marketing. So I reached out and they actually proposed the idea to adopt Quill as the official app for Ghost! Of course I agreed to it—as soon as I'd calmed down enough to write a thoughtful response, that is 😄
So I feel extremely lucky to be joining the Ghost core team on Github as an open-source contributor! Huge thanks to John and everyone else for welcoming me ❤️
You can download the Ghost Android app right now from here. It has the core features you know and love from Ghost's web UI, plus full offline support ⚡️ for those times when inspiration strikes while you're in the subway. More features are on the way, like logging in to multiple blogs.
